This double-blind study is investigating the effectiveness of the Vivistim System® on upper extremity rehabilitation post-stroke. Subjects will be implanted with the Vivistim System® investigational device during an outpatient procedure and will be randomized to receive active or delayed stimulation during 6 weeks of occupational therapy and complete up to 13 study visits over a 1.5 year period. Potential subjects must be between 22-80 years old, have a history of ischemic stroke between 9 months and 10 years prior to consent, and have upper extremity weakness due to stroke with at least minimal active movement of the thumb and two additional fingers.
