March 7, 2018 – Annual Lobby Day

Dear NYSPMR members,

The legislative committee would like to invite you to participate in our annual Lobby Day on Wednesday, March 7th, 2018 in Albany. This is an excellent opportunity to witness the legislative process and the impact it has on our healthcare system. No prior experience is necessary, and you will be guided step by step by experienced physicians with substantial knowledge in the issues debated in the state legislature. Transportation and food will be provided. You can board the bus on either 8th Ave and 35th street (6:20 am) or Park Ave and 77th St (6:35 am). Buses will return to Manhattan by 7PM. There is no charge for medical students or residents, and $50 for attending physicians. You will be assigned to small groups with other MSSNY members for meetings with lawmakers. This unique opportunity allows participants to influence the legislative process and advocate for our patients and our specialty with state legislators.
