Mentorship Program Announcement

Dear PM&R Colleagues.

NYSPM&R is excited to continue its mentorship program after a successful inaugural launch last year!

We are compiling a mentorship database of medical students, residents, fellows, and attendings, spanning a broad range of PM&R subspecialties and interests. Our vision is to provide medical students, residents, and fellows the opportunity to seek direct guidance from physiatrists in their particular PM&R sub-specialty of interest or to explore different fields/interests, while fostering a mentorship relationship that maintains long-term value for both individuals.

For mentors, this is an opportunity to help trainees transition to residency, fellowship, and real-life clinical practice, as well as encourage the use of evidence-based medicine through scientific research.

For our mentees, this program will serve as an invaluable resource for career guidance, self-exploration, academic opportunities, and professional networking within the New York City area and beyond.

We will be using the questionnaire links below to “match” mentors and mentees based on location, clinical interests, and research opportunities to accommodate both individuals and provide a more personalized experience. We will match mentors and mentees in the program for 1 full academic year. If you signed up to be a mentor last year, please fill out the revamped questionnaire again this year.

Active membership is required for both mentees and mentors. There is no additional cost to participate in the mentorship program.

It is our hope that you will all participate as mentors who are passionate about giving back to the rehabilitation medicine community by investing in the future of our field!

Please complete the following questionnaire to join our mentorship program as a mentor:
